Small Business Development Center National Information Clearinghouse
SBDCNET serves as a resource providing timely, relevant research, web-based
information, and training to SBDC counselors and their small business
clients.
The IDOL seeks to promote the welfare of Indiana's workforce by administering
a variety of educational and compliance programs designed to provide
the knowledge and tools necessary to guarantee workers' rights to safe,
healthful, positive work environments, and the appropriate compensation
for that work. The IDOL's divisions include the Indiana Occupational
Safety and Health Administration (IOSHA), Bureau of Safety Education
and Training (BUSET), Wage and Hour and Child Labor Divisions, the Statistics
Technology and Performance Division (STeP), and the Bureau of Mines.

The statewide network of Indiana Workforce Development offices provides
job-referral services, career counseling, unemployment insurance and
assistance with job training or retraining. It plans and assists in
the development of secondary and post-secondary technical-education
programs, collects and distributes labor-market information, helps businesses
develop workplace literacy programs and assists in the development of
education standards and assessments.

The Workers Compensation Board of Indiana provides efficient dispute
resolution for injured workers and employers. This site serves the public
by answering questions regarding the Indiana Worker's Compensation system;
and by collecting statistical information regarding workplace injuries
in Indiana. Use this site to obtain forms, handbook, posters and other

The IDFA can guarantee loans for rural development projects, value-added
agricultural enterprises and other types of businesses that create or
retain a significant number of Hoosier jobs. The maximum guaranty is
$300,000. The IDFA can use its Guaranty Program to partner with other

The IDFA can guarantee loans for high-growth/high-tech companies, manufacturers,
and other types of businesses that create or retain a significant number
of Hoosier jobs. The Guaranty Program is flexible and can be tailored
to meet the needs of many Indiana businesses. The guaranty is often
used creatively in conjunction with other funding sources and enhancement
programs. The guaranty may be as high as 90% of the principal balance
